We are happy to announce that Mimbs & Associates will be helping Bill Farina, a father, husband, and great member of our community, by raising funds to help pay for his expenses after fighting Leukemia. Bill Farina, a local father of two, is your typical stellar member of our community; loving, caring, and hardworking. Bill and his family have been members of our agency right since our agency opened, so it goes without when we found out Bill needed our help we knew we knew it was our duty to help the Farinas'out.

Bill was diagnosed with life-threatening Acute Myeloid Leukemia on July 10 by Brevard County doctors and life took a sudden and drastic turn. He was admitted to Florida Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Unit that same day and received induction and consolidation chemotherapy for months.Bill celebrated his 59th birthday in hospital on November 19 with the biggest gift possible--a bone marrow transplant donated by his son Will!  After a three-month total hospital stay, chemotherapy, countless blood and platelet transfusions behind him (likely more ahead), a myriad of medicines to prevent rejection and infection, and every other day outpatient visits to the Florida Center for Cellular Therapy Florida Hospital continue. Bill’s doctors and medical team are pleased and his prognosis is bright. He’s not cooking up food currently, but stirs up an optimistic dish of joy, laughter, and hope, nourishing and encouraging new friends who are in their own leukemia battle and treatment alongside him!
