TechNovation Awards to Honor Top Technology Companies and Execs

TechXpo, Florida’s premier technology and innovation exposition will officially kick-off on Thursday, October 6th at 6pm, with the TechNovation Awards Banquet at the Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront. Presented by the Melbourne Regional Chamber, this year’s banquet is sponsored by Embraer and AT&T.

This annual event celebrates the companies and individuals that have had the greatest technological impact on our region. Congressman Bill Posey will be presenting Congressional Medals in Technology to this year’s honored recipients in five separate categories.

The highest award is the Lifetime Achievement in Technology, presented to an individual whose impact, influence and work within the technology community has resulted in significant success of the organization in which the individual has been associated, and who has also benefited the regional technology community as a whole.

The Technology Executive of the Year award recognizes the person whose leadership has made a positive impact in his/her industry. This executive should have seen success in the most recent calendar year, and be one who represents the community in a positive light for the foreseeable future.

The Rising Star in Technology award is presented to a new company or one that has made the most significant progress in the past 18 months. This company’s growth puts it on track to make a positive impact in their markets and on the region’s technology community.

The Innovative Technology Product award distinguishes one company that has developed and/or introduced an innovative technology product that has created a significant opportunity for the company.

New this year is the Technology Cultivation award. This award will be presented to a company or agency that is not directly involved in technology, and offers advice or support to technology companies to aid in their growth and prosperity.
