Winn-Dixie will donate 100% profits from July 4 sales

 Winn-Dixie customers can help military families this Fourth of July just by shopping.

• The money will go toward helping veterans and their families
• Last year the event raised $3 million

Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie has pledged all profits made at grocery stores on Monday, July 4, will be donated in support of veterans and service members.

The company has partnered with Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicating to helping service members and their families.

Customers can also make additional donations at checkout. With each donation, customers will received a dedication card to write messages for veterans. The messages will be displayed on the Wall of Honor in every Winn-Dixie store.

Last year, Southeastern Grocers raised more than $3 million for wounded veterans.
