Nancy Peltonen is President/CEO with The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce. In this role, Nancy leads a team providing opportunities for businesses to establish strategic partnerships and grow their business opportunities.
Nancy is a qualified leader and holds a Masters in Management degree from The College of Saint Scholastica and an Undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from Lakehead University.
Nancy is no stranger to the Chamber of Commerce, having belonged to the Palm Bay, Melbourne and Cocoa Chambers where she was the Chairwoman of the Nonprofit Council for the Melbourne Chamber representing the council on the Chamber Board of Directors.
Nancy has more than 25 years of management experience. Prior to starting her chamber position, Nancy spent twelve years as a Merchandise Manager guiding a staff of 50 to run a seven million dollars Shoppers Drug Mart Store in Canada and fourteen years as the Director of Marketing and Fundraising for the nonprofit Serene Harbor, Inc. In this role she raised over $1,000,000 and brought awareness to the organization and domestic violence.
Nancy helps businesses to network and build mutually beneficial partnerships that will assist companies to grow and improve their business. This happens through a wide range of programs and services, from Entrepreneurial/Leadership Breakfasts, Monthly Luncheons, Business after Business Mingles and trainings. Drawing on fourteen years’ experience in networking, fundraising and community engagement, Nancy now uses these connections to assist members to market their business and increase their circle of influence.
Nancy’s varied background in sales, management and nonprofits provided the perfect foundation for her position as President/CEO at the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Nancy has published articles in Florida Today, Spotlight Magazine and WINC and was the Winner of the 2013 Woman of Excellence “For your dedication and commitment to excellence in personal growth, community involvement, personal endeavors and helping other women achieve.” Nancy also was the 2014 Woman of the Year for the American Business Women’s Association Space Coast Express Network, along with their Top Ten Nominee in 2015.
