What is Beauty?

From the Inside Out

“Beauty comes from within” is a common belief shared by many women. This implies that beauty is directly impacted by our physical, mental, and emotional health.

Women are associated with beauty from a very early age. Little girls are paraded around in pink bows, teen girls set fashion trends, and adult females are admired for their curves. The pressure on women to meet the standards of beauty can be intense as they navigate the roller coaster of hormonal changes, body changes, motherhood, aging, and the multiple roles and responsibilities throughout life.

According to Webster, beauty is defined as:  the quality of being physically attractive; the qualities in a person or a thing that give pleasure to the senses or the mind; a beautiful woman

“Woman” is actually part of the definition of beauty! To be physically attractive or to give pleasure to the senses or the mind, is not confined to the media images of beauty. It encompasses a variety of tastes, preferences, and style for each individual.

You can purchase the best outfit in town complimented with the most expensive designer shoes, but if you don’t feel healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally, your attractive outfit will only serve as a temporary band-aid to a deeper wound. Below are some common barriers preventing women from feeling their own beauty:

  • Having an unhealthy definition of attractiveness
  • Poor nutrition
  • Fatigue
  • Poor Body-Image
  • Physical Abnormalities
  • Scars/Skin Conditions
  • Hormonal Imbalances
  • Relationship Conflict
  • Low-Self Esteem/Low Self-Worth
  • Medical Illness
  • High Stress
  • Life Transitions

Beauty is a symptom of good health. If there are factors in your life preventing you from experiencing your inner and outer beauty, we encourage you to seek support. Let’s face it…it feels good to feel beautiful! You deserve the time and attention necessary to be at your healthiest.

How to Fall In Love With You

The way to fall in love with you is to become a treasure hunter.  Look within and unlock the golden nuggets of who you are. Tag Yourself for Success™ by discovering and defining your Talents, Abilities and Gifts (TAGs). They are your soul’s signature. The very essence of who you are. It is in honoring and valuing your TAGs each day that you can fall in love with you.

Like the chameleon that can change its color, you can do something without any effort. That is your Ability. Example: being creative, inventive, imaginative, analytical, have a sense of color/style/shape/taste, intuitive, good listener, anticipate.

How you express your Abilities are your Talents.  Examples: designer, artist, organizer, sales person, teacher, problem solver, cook, finance wiz, writer, inventor.

How you share your Talents and Abilities are the Gifts you give. Examples: create great logos, make learning fun, company is profitable, projects run smoothly, events are successful, great customer satisfaction, office is efficient, yummy dinners and time together, save on taxes, encourage others to be their best.

Use your TAGs to unlock the treasure of your inner beauty. Pull out those golden nuggets. Give yourself a chance. Tag Yourself for Success™ and fall in love with you.
