2153 U.S. 1, Rockledge, FL, 32955
Guests will learn about the importance of mangroves, Living Shorelines, and the Indian River Lagoon! Participants will learn what they can do to help this amazing ecosystem and have the opportunity to take home mangrove seedlings to foster (with plant care tips). They will need to be fostered until they are large enough to handle Lagoon conditions successfully, which takes a minimum of one to two years. Once returned to Restore Our Shores, the plants will be used in shoreline restoration along the Indian River Lagoon providing habitat for native wildlife, improving Lagoon water quality, and protecting our shorelines from erosion. RSVP at Eventbrite.
