Since 1969, Grimaldi Candy Company has been offering the finest gourmet chocolates, made fresh on the Space Coast, including its famous “Chips ‘N Chocolate” chocolate-covered potato chips.
Chocolate is both a passion and a long-standing career for owners Jim and Trisha Frazier. The duo have a sweet love story, having met in the chocolate industry years ago.
Grimaldi Candy Company is a handcrafted chocolate manufacturing company on U.S. Highway 1 in Rockledge, with a second retail store in The Avenue Viera. For years, locals have indulged in Grimaldi’s top-tasting truffles, toffees, caramels, citrus strips, coconut haystacks, pretzels, and of course those world famous milk- and dark-chocolate-covered potato chips.
Loyal customers keep coming back for the traditional recipes, which incorporate only quality ingredients with no additives or preservatives.
The sights and sounds of Grimaldi’s Candy Company take visitors back to a simpler time. Loyal customers know they will be greeted by name, with long-term employees knowing their preferences and helping them celebrate life’s special moments.
“I have been part of the Grimaldi team since early 2011,” said Retail Specialist Manager Stacey Lewis. “Over the years, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many incredible customers and have gotten to know their families’ likes and favorite candies. We have a great group of people working here at Grimaldi’s and I feel like they are part of my family. We all encourage each other and help each other grow.”
Grimaldi Candy Company relocated its longtime Melbourne location to The Avenue Viera. The new store, which is double in size, opened in early 2020.
The new location is part candy shop, part high-end boutique, and sells more than Grimaldi’s signature chocolates. The store also carries specialty soaps, honey, candles, jewelry, and other unique gift items. Many of the products also are locally made. Part of the store’s mission is to spotlight other small businesses.
Grimaldi Candy Company honors its long-standing history in Brevard County and loves giving back to the community that has supported them.
“We want to be the reason to make people smile,” Frazier said.
