MEET: Boujee Bagzz, Boujee Dawg

Tammy Hohendorff was born an entrepreneur. Part of a large family of small-business owners, Hohendorff always supported small businesses while planning her own ventures. Now, Hohendorff is looking to grow her companies — Boujee Bagzz and Boujee Dawg.

Boujee Bagzz

Hohendorff’s first business enterprise came about organically as she shopped for deals on designer bags. Soon her friends and family were asking her to find bargains on the luxury items of their dreams.

“I really love designer purses, but they are very expensive,” Hohendorff said. “So I started doing research, and I was able to find suppliers who sold them at reasonable prices.”

Hohendorff has thus far purposefully kept Boujee Bagzz small and local. Customers can view her designer bags, shoes and other items through her private Facebook group or make an appointment to see them in person.

Her gently used stock comes from a variety of suppliers. All of her inventory is authenticated by both Hohendorff and her supplier. Buyers also can pay to have their purchases independently verified.

“Shopping for luxury brands can be very intimidating,” Horhendorff said. “I want people to feel comfortable. No one is obligated to buy. I want every customer to walk away happy with their purchase. My goal is for people who have everyday jobs, like me, to be able to afford a Louis Vuitton.”

Boujee Dawg

Hohendorff has always been an animal lover, and her newest entrepreneurial venture caters to the furry family members. Boujee Dawg is an affordable pet clothing subscription box. Customers pay a monthly fee and receive a dog shirt or dress in the mail.

“People love their pets,” Hohendorff said. “And this business is totally unique. There is no other pet clothing subscription box out there.”

Each month’s apparel is themed. Subscribers can look forward to receiving an ugly holiday sweater in their December box.

Mindy Gordon was one of Hohendorff’s first customers. Boujee Dawg’s unique pieces convinced Gordon to dress her blind rescue papillon, Pearl.

“She’s the first dog I’ve ever owned that I’ve wanted to dress up,” Gordon said. “But Tammy sold me with her cute outfits. The clothing that comes each month is super cute. It is definitely worth the cost.”

“Building these businesses has been an amazing journey and I have loved every second of it,” Hohendorff said. “It isn’t even work for me, I love doing both of these so much.”
