MEET DannyQ

Danny and Loma Moser are busy. Their slow smoked southern BBQ mobile food unit (aka food truck) is in demand, serving everything from pulled pork and pancakes to scratch-made sides. They prepare food daily and serve by the plate or the pound and cater events. And they also give back to the community through serving countless free meals.

Danny began smoking foods for church outreaches 20 years ago in South Florida. Word spread and restaurants started requesting his signature recipe "DannyQ" sauce in 5-gallon buckets. He did this in his spare time while working full time for AT&T.

Always maintaining his desire to help his community, Danny’s experience with smoked foods inspired the rise of Calvary Chapel Melbourne's Burnt Offering BBQ Ministry.

Since they met in 2011, the Mosers and their BBQ Team volunteers have served tens of thousands of free meals to Brevard County students and teachers from elementary school through high school, and at Florida Tech. They also feed the homeless through His Place Ministries and many other people through additional organizations and events.

Danny retired from AT&T in April 2018 and a month later, the couple opened the family catering and food truck business DannyQ.

The truck’s first-year anniversary was marked with another milestone: the debut of DannyQ Original Gourmet BBQ sauce (FDA labeled, lab-certified gluten free). It is sold locally at Petty's Meat Markets and Downtown Produce, with other locations and a line of additional flavors in the works.

The DannyQ mission statement comes from John 21:15: "Feed my lambs!" And they are doing just that — utilizing the income from catering and serving at events to help fund their ongoing community service and ministry.

The Mosers’ daughter, Briana Stinson, 27, also partners in the business, and brings years of experience working at Outback Steakhouse.
