Achieve Beautiful Skin Continues to Expand Services and Setting
Jeanne Whitman is on a mission: To help you achieve beautiful skin. In fact, that’s exactly what she named her ever expanding business.
Since 2012, Whitman, the owner and founder of Achieve Beautiful Skin, has built her business around helping clients strengthen their natural beauty and improve their confidence. She believes quality skin care is a medical priority, not a luxury service, that should be available to all.
Whitman’s journey to owning her own medi spa didn’t follow a traditional path. First a Miami Dolphins cheerleader, she later pursued careers in nursing and personal training while raising her two children. Through it all, Whitman felt a pull to help others be their best selves.
Whitman’s father was an entrepreneur, as was her brother-in-law, so she grew up learning the ins and outs of growing a business first-hand. She knew when the time was right, she would join their ranks and become a business owner, too. Her love of glamour and all things beauty, combined with the knowledge she gained from her time as a nurse, made the field of medical skin care the perfect fit.
“I had the medical background, and skin was just something that I felt passionate about,” Whitman said. “I just really liked the idea of helping other people to feel better about themselves and feel better in their own skin.”
In 2012, she rented a small space in Suntree and began the process of learning to run her own medi spa. It was there she met her first mentor, EverythingBrevard CEO Tracy Stroderd, who taught her how to market her business and develop her brand. Stroderd encouraged Whitman to join a six-month coaching program through WeVENTURE, which paired her with experts who helped her learn how to grow her business.
As her business and clientele expanded, Whitman moved into a larger room in the office of Dr. Mark Pinsky. He proved to be another valuable mentor, and having a doctor on site allowed her to expand her menu of services. She treated clients in his office for three years, until she once again outgrew the space.
Six years ago, Whitman moved Achieve Beautiful Skin to its current location in Viera, which features three treatment rooms and ornate shabby chic decor throughout. Elegantly placed flowers, chandeliers, tiaras, lace and pearls welcome clients into the full-sized doll house, making them feel like royalty. Whitman continues to look to expand her business, both in size and types of treatments she offers.
“With each location, I expanded because the business was growing,” Whitman said. “I am always adding fresh, new experiences. We continue to expand our services with the goal of building a larger building here in the Suntree/Viera area, and adding additional staff.
Part spa, part medical office, Achieve Beautiful Skin recently added two new treatment options to its offerings. Clients can now use the body contouring service to melt fat, tighten up skin, and reshape their body. EndyMed Intensif radio frequency microneedling is also now available, which creates collagen and elastin in the dermal layer of the skin and aids in skin tightening. Platelet rich plasma added to the microneedling aids the healing process and stimulates skin renewal. Whitman plans to open an IV drip lounge in her next, larger location.
But what truly sets Achieve Beautiful Skin apart is the exemplary customer service Whitman and her team provide. Whitman herself still does most services, including all facials and all laser hair removal. Medical Director Dave Harbour D.O., and Scott Biggs, PA, treat patients wanting Botox or Juvederm treatments.
Registered nurse and aesthetician Tara Nelson provides eyelash extensions, brow services, spray tans, professional makeup and waxing. Diane Hawthorne serves as the office’s chief administrative officer and fitness/nutrition coach.
The entire team works to build relationships with their clients and provide them with individualized treatments and education. Whitman knows that there is no one-size fits all solution for beautiful skin. Achieve Beautiful Skin offers a free consultation for all new clients to discuss their unique skin care concerns and goals.
Many clients, including Meili Viera Porter, have been with Whitman since she was in her tiny room in the Suntree Business Center.
“Jeanne is very personal and personable,” Viera Porter said. “It’s easy to ask her questions. She doesn’t try to push products, but instead is always educating me on what I can do on my own… And she always makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world.”
Jessica Satallante found Achieve Beautiful Skin about two years ago and immediately fell in love with Whitman, Biggs, and the entire staff.
“An appointment at Achieve Beautiful Skin is more than just walking in, getting a service done, and leaving,” Satallante said. “Jeanne tweaks my procedure to what’s best for my skin each and every time. They even call to check on you after your appointment. And you can’t beat the prices. I will never go anywhere else.”
Whitman’s clients love the feeling of confidence that comes along with having their best skin. About 100 clients have a VIP membership and come in at least once a month. The membership gives clients reduced rates on monthly facial services and discounts on Botox, Juvederm, and more.
“I have always taken care of myself and my skin,” said Satallante, one of Whitman’s VIPs. “I do this for myself. I am 54 years old and I do not look my age. Being outside in Florida, you tend to get some sun damage. I want to slow down the process and maybe fix some damage.”
Whitman continues to dream big. Her vision for the future of Achieve Beautiful Skin goes far beyond a larger building. In addition to the IV lounge, she is planning to add more services like medical massage, ablative skin tightening, body contouring, an additional medical aesthetician, and nutrition and fitness coaching that will compliment body contouring services.
Bras for a Cause
In addition to running her own successful business, Whitman is extremely active in the community. Her nonprofit Bras for a Cause helps local women who have been impacted by human trafficking. What began with just a few women decorating bras to raise awareness has grown into an annual fundraising event attended by a few hundred people.
“I want to help people understand how they can help the victims and survivors of human trafficking, to teach them how to be proactive and how to identify the signs,” Whitman said.
