Come Shape The Future of The Space Coast

Each year, the Melbourne Regional Chamber unites with business leaders from for-profit and nonprofit businesses, as well as elected officials from across a variety of industries and sectors in Jupiter, Florida to participate in our chamber’s annual Community Leadership retreat. 

Last year, the Chamber brought together more than 125 local business leaders to address the Space Coast’s greatest strengths and challenges. This year, we will step away from our day-to-day priorities to spend two days in intensive panel discussions and breakout sessions to shape the future of our community. The Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place will host our Community Leadership retreat, on Sept. 9-10.

This year’s theme is “Unlocking Our Potential Through People: Workforce, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.” A panel on attracting, developing and retaining talent will bring together those industries’ top leaders, with breakout sessions that will provide attendees the opportunity to weigh in on the topics most pressing to businesses today and in the future, including, staffing and recruiting; training and education; and military and veterans. 

A second panel focusing on innovation on the Space Coast will bring together elite professionals that will lead breakout discussions on ideation; research and development; and monetizing innovation. 

Our third and final panel will bring together local experts to share the secrets of entrepreneurs. Janet Petro, Director at Kennedy Space Center, will provide a keynote address, as well. Most importantly, we will leave the retreat with an actionable plan on how to move forward in shaping the future for our Space Coast community.
