Experience a Taste of Titusville

The signature fundraiser for the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce takes place in March every year, and I’d like to extend an invitation to you to join us for the 2019 Taste of Titusville on March 19 at the Titusville Mall from 5-8 p.m.

This started as a small-business after-hours where we invited several local restaurants to share in the expense of providing the food and beverages for one of our networking events. One hundred and fifty people showed up, so the next year we planned for 500 and opened it to the community — a whopping 1,500 attended. We were completely overwhelmed.

Fast forward a decade, and we have crafted an event we believe showcases the best North Brevard has to offer.  Although we cap ticket sales at 1,000 for the food-tasting portion of the event, we host about 2,500 people total.

So, what should you expect if you’ve never been to the event?

FOOD, FOOD, and more FOOD! Tasting tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, and that entitles you to sample 25-30 food stations, all from local restaurants and caterers. You’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who can make it to every station and sample all that is available. Since we don’t have a lot of the chain restaurants in North Brevard, this is an excellent way to enjoy the flavor of the community!

Mixed in among the food stations are tabletop exhibits from some of our local businesses and organizations. While you’re munching on the tasty food samples, you can stroll through the event and learn about all of the local businesses and their offerings. Many of them have giveaways or will sponsor prize drawings. Look out for many of our local non-profits, as well, and find out how you can get more involved in the community.

Want to enhance your taste experience? Consider a VIP ticket. Not only does that entitle you to all that I’ve mentioned above, but you will also enjoy a sit-down food and wine pairing, crafted by Wild Ocean Seafood Market.  Their chef selects fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creates a delicious menu of small bites for sampling and then pairs it with a wine or beer. Add in a little live entertainment, and you’ve got a great evening!

So, if you haven’t explored the northern part of the county in a while, consider this an invitation to join us on March 19 at the Titusville Mall. It’s a great way to get up to speed on all that is happening…and you don’t even need a passport to get here.

Reserve tickets at titusville.org/event/taste-of-titusville or call the Chamber at 321-267-3036.
