Calvary Chapel Academy: Academic Excellence, Spiritual Growth

Are you looking for more out of your child’s education? Calvary Chapel Academy's (CCA) goal is to provide a truly Christ-centered education for students through an environment that develops and encourages academic excellence, spiritual growth, and a lifelong love and desire for learning.

One of the academy’s most notable achievements is that CCA is the only school, private or public, in Brevard County  participating in a special program called Growing Beyond Earth. The research program, developed by NASA researchers at Kennedy Space Center, allows students to grow edible plants for the astronauts traveling from Earth to Mars on the International Space Station. Due to the extreme length of the trip, the space station cannot store pre-made food, so it is necessary for food to be grown on the space station during the trip.

This past school year, CCA’s 7th and 8th grade science classroom was set up as a mini botany lab for students to grow various edible plants in soil similar to the soil found on Mars.

The vision of Calvary Chapel Academy is to equip and raise up godly generations of young people who love, serve, and worship Jesus. CCA’s mission is to partner with parents who are active Christ followers, to provide quality Christian education, and to prepare students for a lifetime of fruitful Christian service. Instructional goals are twofold: to develop godly character in a loving Christian environment and to provide quality, challenging academic instruction.

CCA is now enrolling for the 2019-2020 school year, offering free VPK and 3-year-old preschool through 8th grade at the main campus (on the campus of Calvary Chapel Melbourne), as well as 3-year-old preschool and free VPK at the Viera location. CCA has an accelerated curriculum, age-appropriate chapel services, athletics, fine arts, and much more.

At CCA, students have the opportunity to expand their faith and develop mission-minded attitudes by going on mission trips and spiritual retreats. Eighth grade students travel to the Bahamas every spring and work on local construction sites, bring baked goods into town, and share the love of Jesus with everyone they encounter. Sixth and seventh grade students retreat to places like Lake Swan and Life for Youth Camp where they are able to learn, laugh, worship, and grow in their faith as they bond with classmates.
