Creatives Welcome You to Dreamy Mini-Golf, Selfie Experience

Where in the world can you find a hand-painted black and purple galaxy, a huge cartoon city, and a giant neon green Easter Island head all under the same roof? At Dreamland Mini-Golf and More, right here in Brevard County!

This dream-themed interactive art installation for all ages features two playable 18-hole putt putt courses constructed mainly from recycled materials, a surreal selfie wall museum, a projection experience, and a fully-stocked gift shop featuring merchandise and art.

Nearly 30 creatives of many disciplines have contributed their time, materials, and imaginations to spark this one-of-a-kind, dreamlike experience. From painters to builders, scientists and interior designers, this event features dreamers of all genres.

Derek Gores, the creator and driving force behind the installation, is proud of what the idea has become.

“Miniature golf is that perfect mashup of hands-on science and art — the original STEAM, really,” Gores said. “Many of the golf holes were inspired by the artists’ own actual dreams. It’s good smart fun and a worthy activity with so much buzz happening in our Eau Gallie Arts District.”

Dreamland is produced by Derek Gores Gallery and is presented by Northboro Builders, Toyota of Melbourne, FM Pizza, Intracoastal Brewing and more. It is located at 1463 Highland Ave., former home of the Foosaner Art Museum. Current property owner Larry Jarnes, CEO of Northboro Builders, has generously donated the space for three months running through June, allowing it to house community art once more, until work begins on a hotel later in the year.

When golfers enter Dreamland, they will be surprised to find themselves in a vintage-themed Mini Golf Country Club, complete with a bar and lounge. They will check in, grab their golf ball and putter, and begin their journey through the art-infused mini golf courses. A stage in the middle of the golf course features live music or djs most evenings.

Additionally, the Selfie Museum includes 15 photo-ready scenes awaiting the perfect snapshot. A cartoon room, dumpster fire and faerie forest are among the vignettes waiting for your selfies.

Let’s Go!

Dreamland is open Thursday & Friday 5-10 p.m., Saturday noon-10 p.m., Sunday noon-5 p.m. + private events.
