Cancer Care Centers of Brevard Joins The US Oncology Network

Cancer Care Centers of Brevard (CCCB), a premier comprehensive cancer center offering state-of-the-art cancer care in the Brevard County area for more than 20 years, has officially joined The US Oncology Network (“The Network”), the largest network of its kind comprised of community-based oncology practices dedicated to advancing high-quality, evidence-based cancer care. As part of McKesson Specialty Health’s ongoing integration with Vantage Oncology, CCCB is one of 50 Vantage Oncology centers who have now joined The Network.

By joining The Network, CCCB enhances its ability to provide patients high-quality care as well as access to some of the most advanced medical and radiation oncology treatments available today, all delivered in convenient neighborhood locations close to the patient’s home.

“We are excited to join The US Oncology Network, as it will allow us to retain our independence and most importantly maintain our relationships with patients and other providers in the Brevard County community while strengthening the financial and operational backbone of our practice for years to come,” said Giuseppe Palermo, MD, medical oncologist and practice president, CCCB. “The comprehensive resources and guidance from The Network will enable us to continue to provide convenient treatment close to home, without the need to drive lengthy distances for radiation therapy or chemotherapy, while enabling us to compete with greater operational and cost efficiency.”

The US Oncology Network provides effective and comprehensive practice management capabilities and value-based care expertise critical for navigating today’s challenging healthcare landscape. The Network is supported by McKesson Specialty Health, an industry leader that works together with stakeholders across the healthcare delivery system to preserve and strengthen specialty care.

With the addition of Cancer Care Centers of Brevard, The US Oncology Network includes more than 1,400 highly-credentialed medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, urology, oncology surgery and other specialists. The addition of CCCB’s seven medical oncologists and three radiation oncologists extends the reach of The Network, broadening and strengthening the capabilities and knowledge-base of the organization throughout the region.

We are excited for Cancer Care Centers of Brevard to join the Network and look forward to our work together toward our common goal of improving healthcare.”
