Club Performax celebrates 20-year anniversary

Club Performax, Brevard’s first personal training gym, is marking its twentieth year in business.  Opened by Rod and Risa Stewart in 1998, the club is located in the Riverview Tower in Suntree.  In celebration of the milestone anniversary, Club Performax invites the public to an open house / anniversary bash on Friday October 26, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.  Guests are asked to RSVP by October 24.

The Stewarts started out with a 2,500 square foot studio located on Sarno Road in Melbourne, offering personal training, Spinning classes and massage therapy.  They expanded the facility in 2001 and became a full-service club, adding a group exercise room, Spinning theater, and smoothie bar.

As a pioneer in the fitness industry, Rod Stewart revolutionized personal training with the introduction of small group training.  As effective as private training, small group introduced camaraderie to the workouts and made personal training affordable for all. Gyms around the country soon began to follow Stewart’s model.

After ten years at this location, Club Performax relocated to Wickham Road in the Suntree area.  The facility flourished as the leader in fitness, weight loss, and athletic performance training for adults and kids.  Known for attention to customer service combined with offering the latest in cutting-edge technology, has made Club Performax a local and nationally recognized destination for fitness.

“Fostering a sense of community has always set Club Performax apart,” said co-owner, Rod Stewart.  We have members who have been with us since the very beginning and that says a lot in the world of fitness.  Our members’ loyalty and longevity with us is a testament to our staff and our goal of keeping our programs fun, fresh and inviting.”

In 2017 the Stewarts built a beautiful new home in the Riverview Tower at U.S. 1 and Suntree Blvd.  As a premier facility in the southeast part of the country, members can get the best in safe, effective and personalized workouts, improve their tennis or golf game or just relax with friends at the smoothie bar.

“We’ve been so fortunate to help so many residents feel good, make positive changes and reach their goals for all these years, said co-owner, Risa Stewart.  We appreciate our members’ support and think back to not just many great workouts, but also to the fact that our fitness family has been there for a half-dozen Spin-a-Thons for the Cancer Care Foundation and other charity events. We’re proud of the relationships formed here too,” (The Stewarts recall the weddings and babies who started out at the club!).

Club Performax will be celebrating their 20th anniversary throughout October with member appreciation events, throwback workouts, Espresso tasting compliments of the Travelling Bean Co., free workout passes and membership specials and the Open House / Big Bash on the 26th.  To RSVP or for more information, call 321-757-6800.
