BREVARD CHILDREN’S BUSINESS FAIR ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Entrepreneurs ages six to 16 encouraged to apply by Sep. 24, 2018

Fifty kid vendors to be selected for this one-of-a-kind event!

Viera, FL – www.brevardcbf.org – Calling all creative kidpreneurs of Brevard County! Brevard Children’s Business Fair (BCBF) is accepting vendor applications for its one-of-a-kind, 2nd annual business event to be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Avenue Viera (2261 Town Center, Viera, FL). Vendors ages six to 16 must submit an online application for consideration at www.childrensbusinessfair.org/brevard by September 24, 2018. There is a $28 participation fee for those selected to participate. Selected vendors will be notified by email and announced on the BCBF Facebook and Instagram pages by October 1, 2018.

“We are a team of passionate entrepreneurs, mentors, and parents who want our children to learn about entrepreneurship in a practical and fun way. We were thrilled about the community’s response to our inaugural event and excited to return to The Avenue Viera,” said Nora McFarland, executive director of Brevard Children’s Business Fair. “At the request of vendors, attendees, and sponsors we decided to double the number of vendors to 50 businesses. If you have a child with entrepreneurial spirit, this is an ideal platform to nurture that talent and establish the foundation for real-world business skills.

BCBF is a unique opportunity for Brevard County’s savvy future leaders to showcase their talents and compete for prizes. The event is open to the public and free to attend.

The Concept

Kids create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open for business at this one-of-a-kind, one-day marketplace. The youngsters, ages six to 16 (10 vendors in each age group), are responsible for the setup, sales, and interaction with customers. Parents are not allowed to sell to customers or promote their child’s product at the event. At BCBF kids are the boss!

Awards and Prizes

Judges will determine and award four businesses with certificates and prizes for the following:

  • Best of Show
  • Most Business Potential
  • Most Creative Idea
  • Most Impressive Presentation

“Today’s youth are tomorrow’s business innovators and leaders,” said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business and event sponsor. “The Children’s Business Fair gives kids the opportunity to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers.”

BCBF is seeking sponsors with businesses aligned with promoting happy, healthy children and serve as role models for the next generation. Sponsor inquiries may be directed to Nora McFarland at (321) 243-5373 or BrevardCBF@gmail.com.
