EGAD Bands Together to Collect Bottled Water for Houston

The Space Coast knows all too well the devastation a hurricane can cause. People lose their homes, dearest possessions, and even their lives. As a community, we have learned to prepare and help one another in times of need. We have built one of the most resilient, community-minded, and innovative areas in the country, but only by working together.

The Eau Gallie Arts District is stands in solidarity with Houston and is asking for donations of packaged, bottled water to be dropped off at the Eau Gallie Band Shell between now and September 13. The next day, September 14, the trucks will be loaded up and roll toward Houston.

Members of the Next Level Marketing team will be leaving for Houston Texas on September 14 to distribute the collected water through established on-the-ground contacts, rally points, and staging areas in coordination with agencies already in the impact zone.

The band shell is an open, public space available to receive the donations courtesy of the city of Melbourne Parks and Recreation. Everyone is on the honor system to drop their water at the bandshell knowing it will be collected at the end of each day. Collection ends on September 13.
