Florida’s first escape room designed just for kids!

Florida’s first escape room designed just for kids!

321 Escape, a new local, family owned, and operated escape room, will be opening its newest room, Quest for the Sword, to the public on November 30th, 2017 at a joint ribbon cutting for 321 Escape and The Backyard. This room is Florida’s first escape room designed just for kids!

Escape Rooms are one of the hottest new trends. You and a group of friends are “locked” into a room, and compete against the clock to see if you can solve puzzles, riddles, and clues, in order to “escape” or reach a certain goal in the allotted time frame. Rooms are often themed and have a storyline to make the play more interactive, realistic, and engaging for participants.

This is a trend seen mostly geared at adults, with some escape rooms allowing kids to participate with their families or as part of a group.  However, 321 Escape, has seen the need to create an escape room for younger kids. With this in mind, the owners at 321 Escape have come up with their newest room, “Quest for the Sword,” an interactive escape room that will provide kids, ages 5-10, the opportunity to travel back to the time of Merlin and see if they can free the sword from the stone and become the next true king or queen!

“As a parent of four children, I know my kids cannot wait to try this escape room, with puzzles and clues geared to their ages.” Co-owner Kacy Oleson said, “It will give them a chance to be with their friends, dress up, interact, and put their minds to work!”

“Quest for the Sword,” will join 321 Escape’s existing line up of rooms, The Heist, Hijacked At Sea, and Escape in Space, which are receiving great reviews from escape room participants!  This newest room will be geared toward kids between the ages of 5 and 10, and will offer the opportunity for birthday parties and other special events!

The new room will be debuted at the joint ribbon cutting for 321 Escape and The Backyard on November 30th. The event will run from 5:00-7:00pm and will feature not only the debut of the kids escape room, but also a selection of complimentary food from The Backyard’s new menu, a cash bar with your first drink free and a myriad of free games (The Backyard Games and Eatery includes games such as bocce ball, shuffleboard, corn hole, darts and billiards)!
