POSITION OBJECTIVE
Grimaldi Candy Company is accepting applications for a Candy Maker Apprentice in our Production Department at our Rockledge production facility on US Highway 1.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to follow recipes per written formulations.
Cook ingredients following precise temperature and timing requirements as identified in written procedures for consistency.
Mix/Cook candies in batches by monitoring each batch simultaneously .
Must have excellent math skills for consistent batch making.
Must be organized to log and prepare product tracking cards.
Inspect all production to ensure compliance with specifications for all products.
Performs cleaning duties in the work area between tasks.
Maintain weekly inventory, best by dates and ordering requirements.
Ability to read and write English to understand recipes/formulas, and thermometers.
Able to perform essential functions of the job, including standing for long periods of time, walking the entire shift and lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where you will produce, bag and label candy.
Full time position
Be willing to work day and night shifts, as required or needed.
Be willing to work overtime, as required or needed.
Must be able to work during the holiday seasons and on some holidays.
Will be asked to perform other duties in the production or warehouse areas as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Work experience in fast paced manufacturing facility
Food & Safety License/Food Handlers Permit preferred
Must have a sense of urgency with a high focus for quality and consistency.
Pay rate based on experience. Need to fill the position ASAP.
