Community Foundation for Brevard Announces New Brand and Website Launch

The Community Foundation for Brevard took a strategic step forward this week as it launched a revitalized organizational brand, including a new logo, tagline, and website design.

The brand was formally unveiled at the Celebration of Philanthropy event on December 4th and comes after nearly six months of community input by CFB staff, donors, volunteers and board members.

“As the Space Coast continues to grow as a community, we felt it was important to do some evolving of our own,” said Theresa Grimison, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for Brevard. “Through research we learned we have an excellent reputation, but there are pockets of our community who may not know us, or don’t know all we do to serve our clients in developing customized solutions to maximize the impacts of their philanthropy and create an enduring legacy.”

Since 1981 the Community Foundation for Brevard has been the Space Coast’s leading partner, resource and voice for philanthropy, working with investors, nonprofits, community leaders and partners to improve the health and vitality of Brevard County today and into the future. Best known for their grantmaking efforts to area nonprofits, since its inception the organization has helped donors have philanthropic impact in the community through strategic investment and charitable giving. The Foundation nurtures and stewards more than $14 million in donor charitable funds and endowments to ensure funding into the future, and have leveraged more than $20 million back into communities through grants to nonprofits that directly improve lives and enhance our community.

“We wanted a brand which captured the beauty of our area and key elements of our vision – a vibrant, diverse, inclusive community with a culture of giving back,” says Michael Cerow, board chair of the Foundation. “No matter what part of Brevard you live in, we all share a common commitment to our community’s quality of life. Our new logo and tagline reflect our commitment to serve as a community connector for greater impact today and into the future.  Our new website allows us to better serve the organizations we support, and the investors and donors who help us achieve our mission.”

The organization’s new vibrantly-colored logo highlights our iconic coastal community through the use of a full sail signifying forward progress, flexibility and the ability to adjust to changing needs of the community. The leaf signifies financial investment which keeps the sail thriving, while the circular path suggests a continuous virtuous cycle and the ripple effect of good when we all work together. The logo is reinforced by the new organizational tagline: Inspiring Legacies. Enriching Communities. which serves as an invitation to the broader community to join the Community Foundation for Brevard in creating greater impact – together.

The organization also launched a new website www.cfbrevard.org offering enhanced features for investors and donors, professional advisors, grantseekers, and nonprofit endowment partners. In addition to being mobile friendly, the site offers fresh content and a user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality.
