Launch Federal Credit Union Increases Minimum Pay
Launch Federal Credit Union is increasing its minimum pay for the third consecutive year. The minimum pay for entry-level employees will be $13.00 per hour, effective January 1, 2019. This compares favorably to a state minimum wage of $8.46 per hour, and a national minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
“We believe that by offering a higher minimum pay structure, we can demonstrate how much we value our employees, plus we can provide higher value to our members,” says Launch FCU President Joe Mirachi. “As the local economy continues to improve, entry-level talent is becoming more challenging to recruit. Increasing our minimum pay provides us a competitive edge in attracting candidates who want to learn and grow with the credit union.”
Mirachi states that many of Launch FCU’s senior management began their financial careers as tellers, including the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Operations Officer, and several others. “We provide quality training, education and mentoring to every individual so that they can be promoted to the next level,” says Mirachi. Launch FCU also offers a generous benefits package, Monday through Friday hours for its employees, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) plan, and a friendly, inviting work environment.
