“STREIFF STRONG” EVENT SCHEDULED TO AID LOCAL SHERIFF’S OFFICER

A fundraising event for Christopher Streiff, a Brevard County Sheriff’s agent and SWAT team member is scheduled for Friday November 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Club Performax.  Streiff suffered an injury in June that left him paralyzed and with mounting medical bills. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Streiff and his wife Wyndy, to assist with his ongoing care and recovery.

Streiff was a personal trainer at Club Performax for several years prior to joining the sheriff’s office and is still an important part of the gym’s family.  Club members know him as a source of inspiration and strength in the gym and they look forward to showing him how much they love and support him with the Streiff Strong event.

“This fundraiser coincides with Chris’ 39th birthday, so we intend to celebrate all he does for our community and wish him well has he prepares to return home from a spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in Jacksonville,” said club owner, Risa Stewart.  “He’s our local hero, and it’s fitting to show our appreciation as Thanksgiving approaches,” Stewart added.

The event will feature food and drink from local restaurants, raffle prizes, a silent auction, live painting by a local artist, a DJ and fun for the whole family.  Any local businesses that would like to donate an item are encouraged to contact the club at 321-757-6800.  Donations are also being accepted and Streiff Strong T-shirts and wristbands are available.  The fundraiser is free to attend and open to the public.  Club Performax is located at 6525 3rd Street in the Riverview Tower at US 1 and Suntree Blvd.
