Gary Yeomans Ford’s Mobile Programs Make it All So Much Easier
Buying a car from Gary Yeomans Ford is not your parents’ car-buying experience. The dealership, formally known as Palm Bay Ford, changed hands just over a year ago. The team at Gary Yeomans Ford is proud to be a part of the Palm Bay community and they have several exciting new programs designed to make buying and owning a Ford easy and stress-free.
In 2020, Gary Yeomans Ford introduced a shop-from-home program, which allows buyers to browse the online inventory and schedule a test drive at their home. If you decide to buy, you can have the vehicle and all the paperwork brought right to you — no need to even set foot on the dealership lot.
But perhaps the most innovative addition to the new and improved Gary Yeomans Ford is the mobile maintenance van. The program started with one van almost a year ago, and Yeomans recently added a second van to the service lineup. With these vans, customers can call and schedule an appointment to have routine maintenance tasks performed at their home or place of business.
Parts and Services Director Sheldon Wise brought the program to Brevard County after successfully launching the first ever mobile maintenance van in Naples.
“The van provides the same service you get here at the dealership,” Wise said. “We come out with the same materials, the same oil, the same filter. We do the factory inspection so we check your brakes, your tires, your battery, the hoses and belts, wiper blades, filters… we do the whole thing we would do at the dealership, we are just doing it in the field to make it more convenient.”
While the mobile maintenance van provides convenience for individual vehicle owners, it can lead to cost savings for businesses operating a fleet of automobiles. Any business that relies on vehicles to provide its services can save time and money by scheduling mobile maintenance.
“If you have a fleet of vehicles and you typically have to have two guys bring a vehicle in and drop off one, you have two guys out of the pocket and their vans down for half a day,” Wise said. “We can schedule the service, go right there to their place of business, and the down time is minimal. It saves companies a tremendous amount of time and aggravation, makes them more productive, which makes them more profitable.”
