Stepping into the Roaring 2020s

Stepping into the Roaring 2020s

They say there’s only one thing that we can be certain of and that is change. We can’t always predict what’s around the corner, but we can do our best to enact positive change. While many people may not realize the impact the Melbourne Regional Chamber has on the community, we work hard to bring about changes that make the Space Coast a better place to live, work and play for all of us.

This September, business people from across a variety of industries and sectors will gather in Jupiter, Fla. for the chamber’s annual Community Leadership retreat. Removed from the distraction of our offices, we spend a day and a half in intensive panel discussions and breakout sessions to shape the future of our community.

This year’s theme is “Building a Stronger Community: Leveraging Our Strengths.” A panel on aerospace and manufacturing will bring together those industries’ top leaders, with breakout sessions including workforce development; diversity and inclusion; networking, partnering and teaming; and technology and entrepreneurship.

A second panel on real estate and construction brings together local experts in the arenas of residential, commercial, construction and architecture/engineering with breakout sessions on schools, parks, recreation, infrastructure and environment, and more.

Dr. Sean Snaith, the Director of the UCF Office of Economic Forecasting, will provide a keynote address, and Sheriff Wayne Ivey will share his office’s plans to help us grow safely and securely. Most importantly, we will leave the retreat with an actionable plan on how to move forward into what is, on all accounts, shaping up to be the “roaring 2020s.”

As a partner with us, you can join in those efforts and be a part of our advocacy efforts on behalf of our community. Every partner can have a voice and every partner can have a seat at the table at impactful events like our Community Leadership Retreat and others.
