Walk through the doors of L.H. Tanner Construction and you’re greeted with a smile. That’s because Lawrence and Holly know you’re walking in with a vision. The husband-wife team has been making dreams come to life across the Space Coast and throughout eastern Florida for 20 years. They have beautified residential interiors/exteriors including constructing additions and garages. They have improved all types of commercial space including healthcare, institutions, restaurants, gyms, and even an escape room. They build government projects, all types of site development and infrastructure, and marine construction.
L.H. Tanner makes things straightforward for clients with their design-plan-build methodology — they have one place to go and one team to deal with. The company’s streamlined capabilities as both designers and builders offer clients significant savings in time, labor and materials, while the company’s in-house team of trade specialists adds even more efficiency and cost-savings to the building process.
“It’s a one-point contact, while the plans are being completed we are also estimating the project and keeping their budget in mind,” Holly Tanner said. “A lot of times, people will find out… that they cannot afford to build what was drawn. We embrace our business philosophy of seeking the same value for our client’s dollars as we would our own. Our company motto is ‘Building Value that Lasts.’”
L.H. Tanner prides itself on developing personal relationships with clients — listening to their needs and wishes — and maintaining good communication throughout the process, while minding good construction practices and budget.
Notable clients have included Palm Bay BMW Motorcycles, the town of Palm Shores, Club Performax, Escape Room Entertainment and New Beginnings Ob-Gyn.
Lawrence Tanner comes from a family of contractors and began L.H. Tanner Construction in 1997. He assisted his parents in building several custom homes in the Lake Washington area. A master carpenter, he has experience in building with most materials and settings.
Holly still is a practicing physical therapist in addition to running the construction business. Keeping with the eclectic theme, the company headquarters also houses a recording studio, in which Lawrence wrote songs as lead singer in bands. He said he plans to finish them “eventually.”
Michelle Salyer hired L.H. Tanner to remodel her master bathroom and dining room/living room area at her Rockledge home. She raved not only about the beautiful outcome, but also of the smooth design-plan-build process. Lawrence designed the rooms himself, eliminating the need for an outside designer.
“(The details) proved that Lawrence went above and beyond to provide added value, not just to meet the minimum requirements of the job,” Salyer said. “Our entire experience with the L.H. Tanner crew was extremely positive and I trusted them completely. Each of them became like a second family to us, and we have remained friends with the Tanners and their staff ever since. I was actually sad when the project was complete!”
