Driven by Heart recognized at 8th Annual Central Florida Humanitarian Awards

The Central Florida Humanitarian Awards Committee and our entire community will be recognizing and honoring Driven by Heart (Breast Friends) with a Central Florida Humanitarian Award for the caring contributions that they have made to the well being of our community.

Their care and concern for the well-being of others and for our community has not gone unnoticed and the CFHA Committee wishes to recognize your organization with a Central Florida Humanitarian Award at the annual gala.

The Gala will be held in the main ballroom at the Melbourne Hilton Rialto Place on Thursday, November 2, 2017, beginning at 6 p.m.

Purpose of the Central Florida Humanitarian Awards
The purpose of the event is to recognize those who have given their "Time, Talent and/or Treasure" to help others and to create more awareness of the great work that has been done by people like yourself.

It is the committee’s hope that this increased awareness will encourage and inspire more people to become involved in charity and to help others less fortunate than themselves.

Our Community’s Most Giving Citizens
Our list of 2017 honorees includes a very diverse group of people and organizations. To give you the unique flavor of the Central Florida Humanitarian Awards, previous honorees include familiar names such as Doug Flutie (who has an autism foundation); prominent physician Dr. Silas Charles, a 10 year-old girl named Merrilee Burstein, who raised money one nickel at a time, to help fund the Smile Train; and local hospital volunteers who do absolutely incredible work that often goes unrecognized and unaccredited.
