EGAD Announced launch of the ANTI-GRAVITY PROJECT

The Eau Gallie Arts District Main Street hosted a press event on Thursday, September 21 in the “Sharking lot” in front of the Shark mural to announce their newest arts initiative. The Anti-Gravity Project (AGP), scheduled to occur from November 24 - Dec 3, 2017, will feature multiple mural installations, live art demonstrations, live music, gallery exhibitions, illustration battles, interactive games and pop-up shops and local fun. AGP will unite community volunteers, local, national and international, art rock stars to create nearly a
dozen murals over a 10-day extravaganza. The Anti-Gravity Project will elevate EGAD as an epicenter of artistic innovation on the Space Coast.

EGAD established their Outdoor Museum Program when it installed its first murals in 2011. Additional murals were added later by a mix of local artists plus international super star muralists. Even those unfamiliar with Eau Gallie are familiar with the shark mural by globally recognized artist Shark Toof titled, Nature’s Ghost. By including nationally and internationally-recognized artists, we ensure this event will draw national and even global attention in art press and social media.
