After the holiday season, many of us want to shift focus back to our own health after having given so much. This year, have a streamlined approach for when assessing how things are currently going for you and when identifying areas for improvement.

Score for:

A ________ B ________ C ________ D ________

Your highest letter score will provide an idea of how well you are taking care of yourself physically and mentally. Ideally, this quiz can help you better understand the areas where you should focus for improvement. “A” means you are doing well and “D” signifies an area for improvement.

Examples:

  1. If you answered D (<6 hours) for sleep and you know you go to bed at 12 or 1 a.m., start by establishing a bedtime routine so you can get to sleep by 10 or 11 p.m.
  2. If you answered D for rarely cooks at home, take a cooking class to become more comfortable and faster in preparing food in the kitchen.

Simple strategies that focus on actions you can take right away are the most effective ways to improve your health. Having a plan that sets you up to go to bed at 10 p.m. is much more effective as a way to improve your energy, mood and metabolism than saying, “I want to lose weight.”
