MELBOURNE LIBERTY BELL MUSEUM

MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM – MAY 27, 2024, 11 AM – 12 NOON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Honor America, Inc., which operates the Melbourne Liberty Bell Museum, the
city’s own gem of a historical museum, will hold a Memorial Day program on May
27, from 11 am to 12 noon. There is no charge for attendance or admission.
The museum will present a non-partisan, entertaining program with patriotic
music. Featured speakers will be Donn Weaver, Gold Star Father and long-time
patron of the Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island, and Captain Jason
Schneider, Commanding Officer of the Naval Ordnance Testing Unit at Port
Canaveral. Officials from Brevard County, the City of Melbourne, and other local
political entities will be present.
The program will open with a presentation of colors by officers of the Melbourne
Police Department and music played by members of the Melbourne Municipal
Band. A local BSA Scout troop will be selling food and drinks.
The Liberty Bell Museum is located at 1601 Oak Street, just south of Hibiscus,
about halfway between Babcock and US1. Ample free parking is available off
Hickory Street, between the museum and the Melbourne Auditorium.
The museum’s extensive collection of historic, technological, and military
artifacts will be open for viewing before and after the program. For further
information, call 321-373-2311 or write to honoramericafl@gmail.com.
